Beyond Fashion: Shopping for a Good Cause

There’s undeniable synergy when a local independent business lending its retail muscle to raise funds and awareness for a community development nonprofit—and when that business has the strength of The Vault Luxury Retail, the impact is extra special.

From Nov. 12-15, the giveback shopping event Beyond Fashion raised more than $2,500 from customers and raffle ticket sales. Beyond Housing staff was also able to spread the word about our holistic model for creating meaningful and lasting change in North St. Louis County among shoppers at the upscale resale store in Brentwood.

“To our friends at The Vault Luxury Resale, who are longtime supporters of our work, and to everyone who shopped in person or online, thank you for caring about us,” said Chris Krehmeyer, Beyond Housing’s President and CEO. “We look forward to seeing you again next year when we can all be back together in person with wine and music.”

In keeping with all the health requirements around the COVID-19 pandemic, in-store shoppers wore masks and maintained social distance during the four days of Beyond Fashion. But even with the new rules, the staff at The Vault Luxury Retail made sure the environment was lighthearted and lively.

“The event was fantastic for so many reasons,” said Becky Moss, Chief Development Officer. “Thank you, thank you, thank you to everyone at The Vault.”

Perhaps the happiest person after the giveback event was Beyond Housing supporter Linda Robinson. She came away with the grand prize in the raffle: a beautiful Louis Vuitton handbag.
