In August, we hosted our annual “Beyond the Backpack” event at Normandy High School where we provided an estimated 1700 backpacks full of school supplies to families living in and around the 24:1 Community. In addition, students received health screenings and immunizations, haircuts and other resources from 50 + participating organizations. The day was filled with sunshine and laughter as families and the community came together in preparation for the new school year.
The back to school event was made possible because of the generous support of so many people including the 100 volunteers that worked throughout the day to support the community. It is because of YOUR generosity and commitment that we are able to support the community we serve.
