Help prepare Normandy students for the new school year at Beyond the Backpack!
Beyond Housing’s Back to School program in partnership with the Normandy School Collaborative provides all the back-to-school necessities for students and families. These items include backpacks, school supplies, shoes, haircuts, physicals, immunizations, and dental and vision screenings, all at no cost to the family.
For $125 you can sponsor a Normandy Schools Collaborative student with all the listed necessities they need for the new year.
- $20 to cover a backpack
- $45 to cover a backpack and school supplies
- $125 to cover a backpack, school supplies, haircut, shoes, immunizations, etc.
Over the years Beyond Housing has worked closely with the Normandy School District to create a successful learning environment for students. Beyond Housing provides educational and family support through various programs like Viking Advantage, a matched savings program that helps students save for college, our Family Engagement Liaisons, staff embedded within each school to help families with basic needs to remove barriers to academic performances, and our wrap-around service coordination, a holistic approach to reduce barriers in education. This year to date, our Education department has provided these services to 1,988 students within the district.
