Cinema Service Facilities Lead

Position: The Cinema Service Facilities Lead performs light repairs and preventative maintenance at the 24:1 Cinema, Carter Commons, and Pagedale Properties/commercial buildings. In addition to specific task assignments, all supervisors responsible for coordinating their efforts with the other theatre managers, and directly assisting the other theatre managers, in the achievement of overall operational objectives.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Clean Cinema theater areas both inside and outside grounds
  • Perform light landscaping  
  • Provide excellent customer service to clients
  • Log detailed notes
  • Complete urgent/priority work orders
  • Complete non urgent work orders in order received
  • Inspect plumbing and appliances
  • Clean gutters/downspouts
  • Perform repairs and maintenance
    • Painting
    • Changing of light bulbs
    • Change batteries in equipment as needed
    • Set up/break down event space
    • Hang equipment as needed

Areas of Supervisor accountability include:

  • Guest Services
  • Attract and retain theatre customers (create loyal guests)
  • Deliver an enjoyable guest experience through courteous, quick, and attentive guest service
  • Attend to persons with special needs and maintain theatre-accessibility amenities
  • Floor operations, Facility and Grounds
  • Efficient box office sales operation within established admission policies
  • Orderly flow of guests and quick recovery of facilities between show performances
  • Maintain facilities and equipment in a safe, clean and like-new condition
  • Timely response to safety, repair and maintenance needs
  • Maintain exterior facilities and equipment (parking lot, grounds and landscaping where applicable)
  • Concession and foodservice operations
  • Prepare and serve quality refreshments in a safe and efficient foodservice operation
  • Receive and properly store perishable and non-perishable materials and supplies
  • Replenish workstations with materials and supplies
  • Manage waste reduction and loss control efforts
  • Projection Booth operations
  • Operate projection equipment
  • Ingest digital films & in the absence of booth personnel
  • Supervise and direct service hosts to complete tasks
  • Assist in the completion of paperwork
  • Execute accurate sales transactions, balance cash activity, daily reporting
  • Meet deadlines
  • Other duties assigned

Preferred Experience and Qualifications:

  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Computer literate including Microsoft Applications- Outlook, Word, Excel, and internet.
  • Must be able to lift 75 lbs. stoop, bend and kneel to maintain equipment.  Must be able to climb ladders and stairs as needed.
  • Able to work while standing for extended periods of time
  • Ability to work in different environments: hot, cold, wet, damp, or dusty places
  • Able to work a flexible schedule to include evenings, holidays, and weekends.
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 2 years’ experience in maintenance and/or similar field required

Skills & Attributes:

  • Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and mechanical systems
  • Proficient use of computer technology and/or electronic work order system
  • Ability to problem solve and work independently
  • Professional verbal and written communication
  • Highly motivated for advancement within a growing organization

Position Requirements:

  • Ability to perform physical labor, operate tools and machinery, and lift at least 80 lbs.
  • Ability to work in wet, damp, hot, cold, or dusty places
  • Ability to stoop or kneel in order to gain access to work areas

Supervisor:  Commercial Manager

Salary and Benefits:

  • Part-time hourly position as determined in current Beyond Housing Employee Handbook
  • $18-20/hour
