We are in search of a Grant Developer to join a dynamic and passionate team of grant writers and strategic thinkers to help move the mission of Beyond Housing to the next level.
Position Summary:
- Grant Proposal and Report Development:
- Collaborate with program managers and department heads to gather relevant information and data for grant applications.
- Prepare compelling grant proposals, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to guidelines.
- Tailor proposals to address the specific needs and priorities of each funding opportunity.
- Ensure timely submission of all materials.
- Grant Identification and Research:
- Identify potential grant opportunities that align with the organization’s mission and strategic goals.
- Conduct thorough research to gather information on grant requirements, guidelines, and deadlines.
- Maintain comprehensive records in various database systems for future reference. (Grant Seeker, Raiser’s Edge, Instrumentl).
- Project Management:
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive grant calendar, tracking application deadlines, reporting requirements, and other key milestones.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather project data, outcomes, and success stories for reporting purposes.
- Manage multiple grant projects simultaneously, ensuring timely submission of proposals and reports.
- Implement project management best practices to streamline processes, enhance efficiency, and optimize resource allocation.
- Work with staff from other departments on program and project financials, goals and outcomes relative to grant submissions and reports.
- Relationship Building:
- Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with grantors and funding agencies.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and nurture partnerships that align with the organization’s mission.
Required Qualifications:
- BA, BS with preferred course work in Social Services, Communication, Nonprofit Management, or another related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in communications.
- Prior experience in project management tools such as Microsoft Planner, Asana, Trello, etc.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
- Good organizational and self-motivational skills.
- Excellent writing, editing, research, and oral communication skills.
- Able to work quickly and produce quality work under tight deadline requirements.
- Able to plan, prioritize, shift priorities if necessary, and coordinate multiple projects to meet deadlines.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders in a remote setting.
Preferred Experience and Qualifications:
- Strong computer skills, including MS Office 365 (Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook).
- At least one year experience in grant writing (federal grant experience a plus).
- At least one year of database management experience.
- Experience with program/project budget preparation.
- Ability to work with little supervision, with a variety of peers and with management.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects in a fast paced environment.
- Highly organized, self-starter with good interpersonal, problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to anticipate needs, see opportunities and use good judgment in dealing with confidential information.
- Ability to analyze and review operational procedures, identify problem areas and optimize performance through procedural changes.
- Proficiency in communicating effectively, including an ability to write and speak clearly.

Salary and Benefits:
- Full-time salaried position with benefits as determined in current Beyond Housing Employee Handbook
- Starting Salary Range: $50,000-$60,000 depending on experience
