Young Friends of Beyond Housing Double Their Membership

Young Friends of Beyond Housing started off 2025 by doubling its membership at a recent disco-themed kickback at Hidden Gem in St. Louis.

More than 50 attendees mingled before and after a presentation from Chief Transformation Officer Jaclyn Belt about client success stories featured in Beyond Housing’s 2024 impact report.

The Young Friends leadership encouraged attendees to get involved throughout the year, starting with the upcoming Historic Greenwood Cemetery volunteer project on Saturday, March 15. Other Beyond Housing initiatives the group participates in include NeighborWorks Week in June, the Children’s Defense Fund Freedom School in June and July, Beyond the Backpack in August, and Holiday Friends in November and December.

Hidden Gem supported our mission of transforming the St. Louis region’s under-resourced communities to create a stronger, more equitable, and prosperous St. Louis for all by donating a percentage of the bar sales back to Beyond Housing. Its team also created themed cocktails such as the Dear Lou and the Half Century (in honor of our 50th anniversary in 2025), as well as the spirit-free mocktail Dream House.

Young Friends welcomes its 2025 leadership team:

  • Vice Chair – Adrienne Groves
  • Membership – Committee Chair Rukiya Anthony
  • Marketing Committee Co-Chair – Nico Krehmeyer
  • Marketing Committee Co-Chair – Tepra Wells
