The Power of What’s Possible
Beyond Housing is determined to revitalize North St. Louis’ 24 communities
The New Ann Mandelstamm Monthly Giving Society:
A way for everyone to create a big impact and be like Ann
Throughout her 35-year teaching career and into her retirement, Ann Mandelstamm unfailingly made small monthly donations to the many causes she cared about. For more than a decade, one of these beneficiaries was Beyond Housing.
Ann was inspired by Beyond Housing’s comprehensive approach to community development. Ann’s impact went well beyond her own monthly giving. Over the years, her advocacy of Beyond Housing’s work inspired many friends, family, and others to also make significant contributions. She is the consummate example of how one person can make a huge impact in the lives of many.
After her passing on Nov. 8, 2024, Beyond Housing’s leadership consulted with her family and established the Ann Mandelstamm Monthly Giving Society in her honor.
Mandelstamm advocated for the importance of regular donations in whatever amount fits into one’s budget, with the philosophy that “if you really believe in an organization, you need to support them year-round.”
“My mother would be thrilled to be known for a program of monthly engagement because she felt that was a humble, reliable way to give,” said her daughter, Maria Amundson.
By establishing this monthly giving society named in Ann’s honor, we hope her legacy will inspire a whole new generation to give what they can each month, just like Ann.
Please join this important giving society with a minimum monthly donation of $50 in honor of Ann and Beyond Housing’s 50th anniversary.
