Beyond Housing CEO Chris Krehmeyer Named Titan 100 Recipient

Beyond Housing is honored to announce that President and CEO Chris Krehmeyer was named a 2022 Titan 100. The Titan 100 program recognizes St. Louis’ top 100 C-level executives for their exceptional leadership, vision and passion.

“It means so much to have Beyond Housing’s critical work spotlighted among so many other prestigious organizations, and I’m honored to be named a Titan 100 recipient,” says Krehmeyer of the award. “And while I appreciate the recognition, it’s important to remember that the real innovators behind Beyond Housing are the community members we serve. My role is not to be the expert, but to be an expert listener. The success of Beyond Housing is thanks to our passionate team and the support of the region.”

Beyond Housing works to strengthen families and transform underserved communities through its signature comprehensive and holistic model for meaningful and lasting change. The organization knows addressing one lone area, such as education or housing, cannot create real change—the solution comes from a multi-pronged effort covering housing, health, education, employment and more. All of which is essential to creating a stronger, more equitable and prosperous St. Louis region for all.

Prior to joining Beyond Housing in 1993, Krehmeyer started his career in community development with the Housing Authority of St. Louis County. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Urban Studies from Washington University in St. Louis and also holds honorary doctorates from the University of Missouri – St. Louis and Washington University in St. Louis.

“A better St. Louis region is possible—one with greater equity and higher growth opportunities, both for its citizens and the area’s economy as a whole,” says Krehmeyer. “What impacts some St. Louisans affects all St. Louisans, and the sooner we realize we’re all connected the faster we can begin working together toward a stronger Gateway City for all.”

The 2022 Titan 100 honorees will be published in a limited-edition Titan 100 book and profiled exclusively online. An awards ceremony will be held April 28 with headline sponsor Wipfli LLP.
